The sculptural ensemble of four objects by artist Federico Díaz, designed for the piazzetta of the Bořislavka complex, was created using robotic fabrication from UHPC. This technique enabled a monumental yet delicate structure without the need for traditional molds.
The artwork evokes the history of the site, once traversed by merchant routes leading toward Prague Castle. Its form, reminiscent of natural rock formations, petrified trees, or underground stalagmite arrangements, embodies the passage of time.
Although the sculpture is static, it creates the impression of constant movement. The object emerges from pools of water, with water gently cascading from its top. The aim was to replicate the appearance of a natural object when viewed from a distance. However, upon closer inspection, the sculpture reveals its human-made construction. All its aspects are enhanced by a virtual layer, accessible via augmented reality.
